As a graduate of Development Studies in De La Salle University Manila, Nina pursued some time accomplishing work that’s related to her degree, but in the journey realized that her true fondness and passion lies in fashion. She delved into styling careers in the fashion industry for years, honing her skills at the same time developing her writing when asked to contribute to the fashion section of certain publications. In 2011, she became fashion editor of the magazine Philippine Tatler. Currently, as a mom and wife, she finds joy in editing for Taste.Company, whose articles are well-rounded, diverse and up-to-date with today’s current events.

“We cannot do great things but only small things with great love by Mother Teresa”. Cliche or not, this quote is Kritzia’s life mantra. Since childhood, she;s been able to witness that through simple and small acts of kindness, great and lasting changes can be made. Empowered by this, Kritzia founded 2KK Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid Foundation and Anchored Philippines, and eventually obtained a Masters in Community Development and a Masters in Social Work. She is an advocate of the saying, “We can always keep on trying,” and draws her bottomless energy and love for others from God.
Bernard Kenneth Peña
Illustrator | Designer | Photographer
A graduate of the University of Sto. Tomas with a degree in Fine Arts, Bernard began drawing in preschool where he imagined elves living on stilts. Even at a young age, he lived in a world where creatures of fantasy are not too far from reality. He believes that his art was greatly influenced by cartoons and comic books he was exposed to as a child. “My art is one that I have learned and unlearned, one that has changed as my experiences changed and grew as I had grown”, he shares.
Today, his talent broadens to many skills in graphic design and photography, and for Taste.Company, he ensures each photograph is visually enticing, of high quality and uncompromised. See Bernard’s Portfolio.
Bettina is a graduate of BS Management Major in Communications Technology at the Ateneo de Manila University. She has previously worked as a banker and a preschool teacher, but her most favorite thing to do is to take pictures. She loves telling stories through photographs and believes that beauty and inspiration can be found everywhere, so she never leaves home without her camera. Her photoblog eventually led her to start Life in Technicolor (bettinabacani.com) where she shares her latest food adventures and random discoveries around Manila. Bettina has always been an advocate of local products and social enterprises, so by writing about them on Taste.Company, she hopes to inspire and encourage more people to support their own and #SupportLocal.
With both parents in the publishing/journalism industry, it’s easy to see that writer’s blood runs thick and deep in Gabriella Galvez’s veins. Even while dancing her way thru her adolescence, spending college days in the lab as a Biochemistry major, showing students the relevance of the different Sciences and their language (Math) after graduation, and now choreographing fitness regimens for students at PlanaFORMA, she has always been at ease and at her most articulate when writing about her interests (reading about someone else’s comes next on the list). With blogging put on hold—Taste.Company provides the necessary avenue for her to channel all her literary ouput. No topic is too tough nor too humdrum for an enthusiastic writer who is brimming with words: be it fashion, beauty, lifestyle, health & fitness, art, music, food, technology, or travel, trust that she’ll write something that’s always worth reading.

With her mixed background in advertising, business development and education, you can find Nyc working on different things all at the same time. On most days, she’s meeting clients and crafting strategic plans. On some days, you can find her volunteering for an organization (like teaching kids how to read) or playing with pigments to create postcards for friends around the world. She writes mostly for her own consumption but is now convinced that there’s a lot of value in stringing words together as one of Taste.Company’s impact storytellers.
