5 Unique Activities Up North For Labor Day Weekend

April 27, 2017 7:00 pm by Bettina Bacani

For a lot of people, May 1 (or Labor Day) means going to Boracay for the yearly awaited Laboracay festivities. I know some people who have made it their yearly barkada outing to head on over to the island during that time, but if you’re over and done with your partying phase (or perhaps never had one to begin with), how about trying some new activities this Labor Day instead? In fact, here’s a list of things you can do all in Subic and Pampanga, so you can turn the long weekend into a three-day adventure up North!

1. Wakeboarding at Pradera Wake ParkTravel_LaborDayWeekend

With three practice lakes for beginners and a big lake for advanced riders, Pradera Wake Park is one of the places you just have to visit this summer! Pradera Verde was also the location for the recently held Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival, so expect more cool happenings at Luzon’s newest wake park!

Wake Park Rates:

1 Hour – P250

2 Hours – P475

4 Hours – P595

8 Hours – P1000

Note: Rate is inclusive of vest, helmet and slip-on board

Learn how to fire a pistol and a rifle the safe way. The training and lessons are conducted by PNP Accredited Instructors, so you know you’re in good hands. I got to try this sometime last year and it was honestly a scary but fun experience – and yes, I’d totally do it again!

Gun Rentals:

Pistols: P500-P1,000

Revolver:  P500

Rifle: P1,000

Location: Angeles City, Pampanga

3. Experience a one-of-a-kind rollercoaster zip line at SandBox Alviera
